I was looking forward to eating at bertuccis today because I've always liked it. The rolls were the same: yummy. When my beet and radiccio salad with blue cheese arrived however, I wondered if the black shriveled things on it were roasted olives until I tried one. Yes, that was the beets. Either they used reconstituted dried beets ( this was tough and raisiny) or these beets had been cooked around a week ago and left to shrivel in the fridge - probably the latter. There was nothing plump or juicy, fresh cooked or even canned about these beets. They were just tired. I searched for the blue cheese they promised and only managed to find a one centimeter cube. There were a few candied nuts that were mostly stick in your teeth candy and not much but, but mostly it was just these horrible beets, balsamic dressing and about two cups of chopped radiccio tossed together in a jumble. I tried to make up for the bad lunch by ordering the limoncello cake which was so sweet it sucked all the moisture out of my tongue. Half the sugar, and it would have had some flavor, but this was just ultra sweet. I guess you go here for the pizza, or nothing.

Things were retified with a gift card and a refund of my money for the order... I will go to another location because bertuccis is a inexpensive good time with friends if the service is better and staff not short handed...

As italian restaurants go, it's a great treat with a huge menu. However, after the first or second visit, you'll realize it all tastes the same...bland. However, it's good with kids, and the portions are good-sized.

As soon as you walk in, you immediately smell the telltale signs you're in a great Italian restaurant. Pizza. Pasta. Grilled chicken. Soups. Many things make this establishment a worthy experience. They have both an adult's and kid's menu, making for less "Mom, why do I have to eat this?" at the table. Before your food, you are served complimentary rolls, baked to perfection, and fresh from the oven. And since embellishing rolls with butter might be quite deleterious to your health, they provide heart-healthy olive oil for dipping your bread. You could be served a variety of foods, most of them authentically Italian. After your palatable meal, you are offered the dessert menu, and the kids get a free Hoodsies' ice cream cup. It is a fabulous place, but sometimes the service can be a little inadequate. Once in the eight years I have been going here, they have misheard my order. And about six or seven times, my order was served wrong (let's say I ordered extra potatoes, but they served me extra tomatoes). But, as I said, the service here is mostly good. Out of five stars, five stars is what this place deserves. P.S I recommend the Chicken Piccata. Absolutely divine.

Bertucci's is an alright restaurant. They've got a variety of Italian food, and for the most part it is decent. You'll leave full, whatever you end up getting, but it's not going to be a fantastic meal. Their strongest selections are their grilled options, steak and chicken specifically. They are quite good, but the steak comes pre-sliced, so it feels a little childish. The meatballs from the spaghetti and meatballs are very good. Oddly, for an italian restaurant, the tomato sauce is where they fall short. It is rather tasteless and bland, on either the pizzas or the pasta. For what you get, the price is a little high as well. Expect to pay at least $15/person, though their options go up to $25.
