This was the worst dining experience I've had so far. They ruined my 21st birthday. Never eat here.

I would give it a 4-star rating due to the beers. I had the beer sampler and there were some good tasting beers with a range of light to saison to porter to red ale to IPA. I wished that I could have switched out some of the beer choices to what else they had on tap. I'll have to try some of their other beers they had available on another trip since they also had a sour and a barleywine. The food was subpar, so that brought my rating down to three. It is typical bar food. We had the bacon-wrapped pretzel bites with nacho cheese and mustard sauce. The best part of it was the mustard sauce. It was really good. I've had better pretzels and the bacon was tasteless. We also had some smothered tater tots that were pretty much nachos with tater tots instead of chips. These also didn't have a ton of taste to them. Nothing was horrible, but it wasn't memorable. As for the ambiance, it had plenty of televisions to watch various sports. There is outside seating area that is has plenty of seating, but no heating if it is cold. It would increase the seating in the place if there were a few heating lamps out there during the winter. The service was very nice and quick, especially for how busy the place was at the time we were there. Parking is available for free on the street in front or behind the restaurant.

This place is garbage. If you care about people, don't eat here. They have a bad reputation in Tahoe City as the local place that treats their workers like garbage. I'm all for spending my money at local businesses but this one is notoriously bad amongst the community.
