I have to share this email with you from our studio manager, John "JammerB" Slanina:
"We're opening our presents early! The two new 32" vizio TV's I got are awesome! So much nicer than the old Vizios we have. Wait till you see them (they're for the stacked main monitor/chat monitor cart).
The new printer is configured and working - very nice!
Russell installed the kick-ass KVM switch that will let us control 8 machines at the control desk... remember that $1,400 accessory we decided against? Russell found one for $300 from a place that was liquidating. So much fun stuff.
Tricaster is all configured and connected - ready for training. Alex and I wired and tested the various send/receive audio channels on the Tricaster. It is ready to go.
The only thing stopping us from putting the new studios on the air right now is the streaming solution. Colin is setting up Colleen's old machine to stream using Wirecast. The workstations we ordered for streaming will be here in another couple of weeks. We'll also have the streamasaurus as a back-up.
We've already tested recoding to the AJA Ki Pro - we can record TWiT and WDGW on it if we don't have the recording Mac moved and set up between TTG and TWiT on Sunday.
Burke left around 11:00 tonight - Colin worked until midnight. Chad, Alex and Russell are still there finishing up.
I hope this trip never ends!"
I hope that you get to work with a team like this some day.
