Excellent post from Mashable and infographic from Crowdtap on how we are all influenced online. The article puts two different schools of though to the test: Malcolm Gladwell’s Uber Influencer theory and Duncan Watts Peer Influencer theory. Based on a recent study by Crowdtap, Duncan Watts comes out on top with his theory that we are influenced primarily by our close social networks of trusted peers. The study found that an incredible 92% of consumers trust recommendations from people they know, while only 36% of consumers trust ads on social networks.

Finally Apple is going to start integrating wireless inductive charging into iDevices! I have always loved the PowerMat product, but the fact that you need a special case is incredibly inconvenient. With the technology built into iDevices this type of charging will become much more common and the docks will then be seen more and more in coffee shops, bars, airports and other frequently visited locations.
Today, the United States Patent and Trademark Office has granted Apple a patent for an inductive charging system.
