Frank Painting 2018

Even before Kim Domek and I were married, we quickly found out that the beach was something we both really enjoyed and could not get enough of. Fast forward to two beautiful daughters and introducing them to Beach time Pensacola! We tried our best financially to get down once a year. During those times we had built some amazing memories. During those times I was also experimenting with abstract paintings . . . starting in 2012. Every beach vacation I would easily find myself collecting shells out of the ocean. I could never get enough and each shell was unique to me. Also maybe some type of relaxation, escape or maybe even therapy. So with a gap in my abstract painting with a heavy focus on following the lead of my amazing wife kicking cancer in the ass for a second time .. it hit me during our Summer 2018 Pensacola Vacation. Great family time and getting some time to collect the shells again. Collecting shells on the beach is always time to think clearly and tap into the big picture of life (for me). Synergy! Integrate my abstract style to the shells & sand we bring home! A way to capture memories on canvas and keep true to my work. Putting family beach experiences on canvas to hang in your home or beach house. This is the current movement of my work.
