Even tho my baking calendar is already completely full, I am so very tempted to find time to try this. +Jamie SCHLER you once again tempt me to try something totally new. Definitely like the walnut adaptation. One of mug favourite bought-baguettes used to be a wine walnut bread until the local pseudo boulangerie really ruined it. Now I can make my own (and I love the grape configuration instead of a boule or baguette. Thnx!

Love the colour and they are such a pretty edible flower fresh - bet this us going to be gorgeous and delicious. Wishing I had planted smaller alliums!

A good update to a problem that is far too likely to occur. Somehow we have institutionalised and profitized the denial or delay of care or coverage in the model of health care we have created.

Make noise. Be or have an advocate. And sometimes, spend enormous energy on time correcting mistakes. If you shake your head in despair at what a flipping waste of time so much of the fight becomes to get necessary and good care, you are not alone.

Insane.

Read the update at the bottom and her transcript of the call with someone from her insurer. Crazy is the only word to describe it.

Seems like the insurance company has a really awful bedside manner.

Nicely explained, and especially helpful is understanding the numbers. Brown butter and butter are .NOT. Exactly the same and as long as you understand that you can adjust for best results. +Jenni Field's fundamentals series is a great start for cooks starting out, and fills in the gaps in knowledge that even experienced competent cooks have!

My mind immediately went to +Jenni Field  and her great introduction to the tangzhong method when I came across this NYT series today.  all worth a read if you bake or eat bread!!! 
Bake white bread, English muffins and walnut bread in your own kitchen.

After playing with an informal pate ferment, I think I am ready to try a biga with this recipe and just have to plan my bread baking with an eye to sharing these out! Thanks to +Karen Kerr for describing this in such a nice and accessible way, especially for those of us just beginning to expand our bread skills!
