Lovely bright flavour variation PLUS the bonus of +Jenni Field's experience and honesty!!
 
It  has been years since I attempted a Buche de Noel, or Yule Log. In fact, I got so frustrated the first time, I ended up making a Yule Stump and calling it a day!

This year, I got it right. This Chocolate Buche de Noel is filled with Cran-Raspberry Mascarpone Cream, covered in textured ganache "bark," and simply decorated with whipped cream, sugaried cranberries and raspberries. It's light and full of flavor. 

I do hope you'll consider making a Buche de Noel as the centerpiece for your holiday table.

If you are looking for the perfect sendoff for the last strawberries or peaches of fall, this 'crema' or gelato is the one to make. Our last perfect local strawberries with the last two scoops of this easy gelato were the cool dessert for this heat spell. 
This plain Jane custard gelato is made with just cream, milk, eggs, and sugar. In Italy, it's known as crema. In our realm, it's known as "Oh God."
