Since February is American Heart Month, the very first “Healthy Heart Collaborative” came together with a goal to reach as many people as possible in bystander CPR/AED training. Visit our website to see how we trained 1,000 people in bystander CPR (with lots of photos)!

The collaborative includes Appalachian Regional Healthcare System, The Omar Carter Foundation, Appstate College of Health Sciences, Appalachian State University Athletics, and Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician's Assistant Program.

This is no ordinary toy shelf! Watauga Medical Center's IMCU nurses and staff chipped in and bought toys for our pediatric patients as a Christmas Project. They love being able to make a difficult experience a little bit better for our patients.

Last week was our second annual Spirit Week at Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center. The patients enjoyed this so much that by the end of the week, they were dressing up in costume with us. We celebrated the following days: 80’s day, superhero day, camo day, sports day and character day.

It warms our hearts when we can bring joy to patients who are bravely facing cancer.
