Hi all, as I started getting into biking and really loving it one of the few questions I have be asked was "Are you doing bike4chai?" And of course as a good competitive sportsman I said yes (if I can get in of course). As I started collecting the entrance fee ($5000) I started doing some more research about Chai lifeline and what they do. I have to tell you , I have been touched. The attitude that they teach people to have and inspiration that they give over is just overwhelming. It's a " no limits " ( to ones dreams) and " nothing will hold me back " ( to ones goals) attitude. Chai lifeline is not limited to cancer patients its all types of people anyone that's having a difficult or different type of life than usual. As a matter of fact really any, any person. That's why it's so apropos for them to be having "bike4chai" teaching people that there are no limits. Biking 180 miles in two day is unbelievable but all it takes is self determination from ones self and of course a person like you to donate to such a worthy cause. So please take a look at this video youtu.be/6Qkee1nPugw that shows what they are about and please donate to the cause with this link.Bike4chai.com/MordyFestinger

This summer, in memory of my mother-in law Ruchama Levy, I will be biking 170 miles through 3 states to Camp Simcha, an extraordinary overnight camp that gives children with cancer a vacation from sickness. A summer in camp restores their spirits and renews their determination to fight!
The ride won't be easy, but neither is life for a child with cancer or other serious illness. Camp Simcha and its sister camp, Camp Simcha Special, are Chai Lifeline's flagship programs. Every year these two camps offer 420 children a chance to forget about illness and just be kids again. To learn more about the camps, visit campsimcha.org.

I will be biking to camp on Wednesday and Thursday, August 3rd & 4th. My objective is to raise at least $5000 by then and I hope you will help me reach this goal. All donations are 100% tax-deductible.

Please contribute by clicking on the donate button now.

Thank you for supporting me and doing so, helping children and their families cope with the diagnosis, treatment and aftermath of serious pediatric illness.

Best Regards,
Mordy

BLOOD OATH Kentucky straight Bourbon whiskey (bottled at 98.6 proof) Pact #1 Very limited release
Exclusive release MMXV

This bourbon is a hidden gem. While the maker holds no loyalties to any specific distillery and this drink is made of 3 different bourbons, the flavors are fused together in an awesome array of full flavors. This bourbon has all 4 grains in it wheat , barley , rye and of corse corn.
The Color: light to medium caramel
Nose: the slightest smell of orange peel with a light aroma of salted caramel and pecans with a steady (long) chocolate flavor ending in a splash of honey.
A real body of flavor.
Flavor: candied pecans, vanilla, long finish
Finish:Smooth, long and dry with a touch of spice and fruit.

OYO BOURBON WHISKEY

OYO wheated Bourbon makes a good first impression in its distinctive black bottle and intriguing description. Hailing from Ohio (though sourced in part from elsewhere) Good wheat whiskeys are hard to come by because most of them suffer from an unbalanced profile, but though I haven't yet tasted OYO wheat whiskey, I figured that a wheated Bourbon would be much less likely to have that problem because the blending of the corn and wheat whiskeys would soften all of the edges. Unfortunately, if OYO wheated Bourbon is extraordinary in any way, it is in that it somehow manages to incorporate two ostensibly good whiskeys into a singularly unbalanced and unpalatable experience. This whiskey has a sweet flavor obscuring an overtone of rye begging to come out, and an overbearing alcoholic vapor that doesn't let you enjoy the flavor. A bright green grass aroma accompanies the rye initially, followed by a burning finish of sweet rye. Overall a very encrypted flavor which in some ways is  reminiscent of a scotch with a smokey peroxide quality about it. 3/10

Black Maple Hill Rye Whiskey

My initial attraction to the black maple hill rye was based on it being the first offering I've seen from Oregon. Small boutique distilleries are popping up all over the country and many of them are introducing unique and distinctive flavors, but Black Maple Hill is the first I've encountered from a distillery so far west. I spotted it on the menu at my favorite underground whiskey bar. It being a classy establishment, it goes without saying that their selection is carefully curated; even so, I've found that one cannot assume that every item on the menu is a well balanced premium offering. I ordered this rye hoping to experience something new in a rye whiskey and I was not disappointed. Black maple hill rye is a bold and complex whiskey with a nose of citrus and maple. The first sip brings on an explosion of rich rye flavor that is then gradually overshadowed by a sweet oaky profile. The sheer complexity of this rye will keep you sipping just to make sure you're not missing anything. 9/10

Rittenhouse rye whiskey

Rittenhouse rye whiskey has a subtle and creamy nose of rye. The first taste is a pleasant immersion into a creamy rye world. Whilst not being overly balanced or complex, Rittenhouse remains a very pleasant rye experience. Mostly a front mouth feel, with herbal and grain accents. Not by any means a must buy, but a pleasant and comforting rye whiskey for when none of those things matter. Whether you are a new whiskey drinker or a pro, Rittenhouse will not disappoint. 7/10
