EDITORIAL: Time to tell climate-change deniers to shut the hell up and back Hick’s plan to save Colorado - Aurora Sentinel
There is no doubt there will be economic casualties as Colorado and the world makes changes, but only the stupid and corrupt don’t see that these problems pale in comparison to the unprecedented calamity that will envelope us all if we don’t act

Anti-intellectualism started as a Republican posture. It has ended with a dangerous ignoramus leading the party.

They almost did it. The Denver Post editorial board almost wrote a smart opinion piece on the need for a transit overhaul in this city. Launching from an excellent article by the Post's Jon Murray that examined the many gaps in Denver's transit system, the editorial included some nuggets of ...

The Republican Party is dead - LA Times
I have been a Republican as long as I can remember. Joining the Grand Old Party seemed like a natural choice for someone like me who fled the Soviet Union as a boy and came to Los Angeles with his mother and grandmother in 1976. Refugees from communism, whether from Russia or Cuba, generally oppose socialism and embrace conservative political views.

Dr. Weissman bought this business from George Coel, our family dentist since the early 1970s. While much has changed since then (location, staff, technologies! etc.), Dr. Weissman has a great, easy-going manner that actually makes the visits tolerable, even enjoyable!

Graham Reinhardt is not the first chiropractor I've ever worked with, but he's definitely the BEST! I originally visited his office in 2013 (after a hip injury) because of its proximity to mine. I only went in the first time to grab a pain-relief product that was available there, but then decided to also get a free evaluation. That quickly (and very willingly) led to full chiropractic treatment & rehab, and I'm very happy that it did. Dr. Reinhardt is well-trained, professional, friendly, and shows a level of care & involvement that seems rare in today's healthcare industry. Two years later, I still depend on Dr. Reinhardt's services and guidance. THANK YOU, Dr. Reinhardt! PvH

Full Disclosure: I work for the program @ the State Health Dept. that manages emissions inspections. I was irked to start having my 2001 Prius inspected, but understand the need to inspect 8yo-&-older hybrids (new for 2015) to maintain overall air quality. I got there just before the station's 8:00 AM opening, and was 5th in line. I didn't know any of the inspectors (who work for our contracting co.) and I don't think they knew me. They checked my gas cap, plugged into my OBD, I passed & paid (with a credit card now!), and was outta there by 8:15 :-)
