Humble Pie has a cool atmosphere with decent food. I think some people go here without knowing it's a tapas restaurant. You can share plates or you can get a few for yourself. For example, I ordered the fried chicken (came with honey and was delicious) and a plate of hummus with pita bread they refilled for no charge. I had plenty of food for $20. Humble Pie a large outdoor seating area, which is hard to find in Raleigh. They will also have live music from time to time. My only complaint is that for a tapas restaurant, they don't have as many options as you'd expect.

I was excited to experience this restaurant given the positive reviews but sadly myself and fellow dinner mates will not be returning. First off our waitress was very unprofessional, screaming goodbye to friends as they were leaving, going to hug friends while taking our order, forgetting to bring items; just lack of customer service. Moving to the food, when I first tasted the $3 bread (only 4 slices!???!) I was excited for the rest of the meal, however everything was extremely disappointing and EXPENSIVE. To share we got the beet salad which wasnt bad but overall very tart and not many good flavors. We also shared the broiled cheese which was essentially baked honey; very sweet and not cheese tasting at all. I got the pork belly sliders, very small and only 2 to an order for $10??? I also got the fried chicken, I am really on the fence about this dish, it was very sweet not much spice or salt other than thyme, it was okay but not $12 worth. My wife got the scallops which were very small not worth $15 and the hummus which was good but $8 for a small dish and 4 pieces of pita? come on Humble Pie! My friends got the $21 steak tacos, I would expect to be completely amazed if I paid $21 for 4 small tacos, lets just say I tasted it ( I would rather have gotten Chipotle or Qdoba). Sadly we will not be returning and I would not recommend this restaurant, I wish we had eaten at The Pit next door.

The only place in Raleigh you'll find a southern meets Tiki bar theme! I definitely recommend Sunday brunch for out-of-towners and locals alike. You can't go wrong with the Smoked Andouille Sausage! While the prices are on the higher end for brunch initially, it's totally worth it for the "extras", including biscuits and breakfast potatoes. The coffee is in true Raleigh character and you'll want to drink a couple glasses. They don't use open table for reservations but you can (and should!) make reservations online through their website. Bar seating is available and they have a huge porch open in the summer time where you can enjoy the beautiful North Carolina weather. Don't be frightened when you hear the conch shell at noon on Sunday's signaling the sale of cocktails!

Humble Pie has a great atmosphere and I like their tapas-style menu. I always feel like I can try a few plates rather than order just one thing. The decor inside always seems fun and lively. The place can get a bit noisy when it's packed but that's usually during nightlife hours so that makes sense. The outdoor seating is comfortable and the tiki bar is real cool. They have great cocktails as well.
