This place is almost always packed, so come prepared. If you do manage to get a spot, get ready to enjoy a variety of beers—served in the correct glassware to boot! For ambiance, Crescent Moon at night can be very loud and doesn't lend itself to activities besides drinking and eating. There is no entertainment besides a too-loud jukebox and there is no room to fit groups larger than 6-8 people. During the day, it can be a great spot to grab some decent food and good beers. If you find something you like, be sure to swing by the package liquor portion of the establishment: Beertopia.

I order a beer, and theyre out of that one. I order a different beer, one from the printed menu, and they're out of that one too. I go to a third choice, also on the menu, and the bar tender says their out of that as well! Fine- I go to a different part of the bar and order something at random. When I mention I'd like to order some food (its a little after 9pm) she says the kitchen had to close because, get this, they ran out of food! Unbelievable!!! This is a cool place, but id think twice before coming again.

Overall, if your looking for a great night to hang out with your friends, pick another bar. There are many others that will give you much better service and overall environment. Yeah their boot is fun and all but I would take good service over a funky shaped mug. Part of the group arrived before the rest of us, we sat down took off coats and talked for a little while. After sitting for a bit went up to bar and got a couple drinks. Sat back down and the server came by and kind of rudely said to order drinks from her (I understand this she wants tips from her tables but could have said it a bit nicer). On about our 2nd boot (plus a round of drinks) she started adding gratuity to our bill, we had a total of 6 people and nowhere did it say anything about adding gratuity to the bill. We went through the night with very slow and poor service, several rude comments by our server, and often sitting with empty glasses for 10-15 minutes. To top that off server was very knowledgeable of the menu. We had to ask for a glass of water 4 times, each time with a different excuse why she didn't bring it yet. Lastly, even after updating the menu mid-way through the night they were out of 2 beers on the menu. If you're going to take the time to renew the menu at least get it right. As for environment, music was to loud. It isn't a dance club so no need for the music to be so loud you can't hear the person across the table. Understaffed, not enough people working to keep up with demand. Tables are very unstable/wobbly and better hold on to your drinks, if someone walks by and bumps the table your drinks might end up on your lap. Note that we were in the downstairs section of the bar.

Great selection of beers. Service was hostile, way past rude. Owners act like they are doing you favor treating you with extreme disrespect. Our waitress was very pleasant, but food was burnt and bad. Gave it several second chances . Always rude in the extreme.

Been here a few times. Great food and decent prices and nice location to midtown, only thing is that parking is someone difficult if they are busy due to a small parking lot
