+GaragebandandBeyond I have noticed that Boyce Avenue (https://youtu.be/MOQ26z87kwI) has started recording vocals with the Telefunken M80 (http://bit.ly/m80_oak) that describes itself as having "condenser-like performance in a rugged dynamic design". I would love to see a YouTube shootout between this and the Shure and Avantone mics you've recommended in the past. Since you have also used your 1953 vintage mic, which just looks cool, I think you would also appreciate the aesthetics of this mic. The use I have in mind is for coffee house performances with my acoustic-electric guitar and vocals through a wood-sided Fender Acoustic 100 amp as well as just recording into Garageband through a Focusrite Scarlett 2i4. I would also be curious to hear what you thought about using it to mic the piano.

While visiting family in Pittsburgh, we attended New Community Church. They had just completed an outreach to welcome Muslim immigrants from Nairobi, the worship team was diverse, and the sermon was biblical. I was so nostalgic for this kind of church that I had to fight back tears.

If one witnesses an unborn baby fight for survival, the very impulses to protect the disenfranchised that made one liberal will also make one pro-life. http://bit.ly/prolifehippy

Perhaps too subtle, but masterful @CTmagazine article about Dorothy Sayers as a reluctant prophet being relevant at time when "political passions have become the new piety". Well done @crystalldowning.

Perhaps the most unique thing the Bible teaches is who it is that crosses the bridge across the chasm between God and ourselves.

The church needs the gentle spirit of people like "Mr Rogers" so badly. He dared to be square. No pizzazz. But a loving, supportive father-figure to many. This article in @CTMagazine approaches poetry in its tribute.

Whoa! So, @Sojourners, I'm NOT the only Christian out there who thinks this way? http://bit.ly/greenfaith_sojourners

So in what language does "drain the swamp" mean pardoning someone who violates campaign finance law because they cheated for your side?

I'm not happy to see anyone lose their retirement benefits, but I am happy that @swbts reversed course and severed their connection with Paige Patterson. Women need to know that they can turn to the church for support when they are abused.

At a time when bad examples in government leaders have emboldened racist violence and speech like Roseanne's, it is important that the church stand with all peoples. Thanks to @CTmagazine for its bold statement. http://bit.ly/2spznbU
