THIS IS MY SCHOOL (GAFE) Google+ Account: Hi- I'm an English Literature Teacher who loves to take risks and meet new people. I love everything #nerd, comic books, sci-fi, samurai films, trying new food, and old school hip-hop and punk. I'm curious and I raise my hand WAY TOO often in meetings.

This is not a special assignment. This is just an example of this student's once a week blog post. In it this student compares The Doors and the novel Siddhartha. Please let your students do something like this.

Great blog post written by a HS student. I love how this writer blended video, pictures, quotes into their exploration of a topic. #QFT   #question

So yesterday I heard a student say "Canvas is where we go for homework." I'm not sure about you, but I try and make my classroom a place where students know they will have fun. Have we thought of how we can use Canvas to build community and make our Canvas space a place students look forward to visiting. It's not very social media esque. Here is a picture of what my class G+ community looked like last year.

I can not STAND that I have to remember to hit publish on every assignment etc.... when I hit save why won't it just publish. My students couldn't do their work last night because I forgot to hit publish. I don't remember having to do this last year.
