In a brownstone that is simple in setting but extraordinary in food. It has a modern bistro feel and the highest quality food. How is it possible that Eola is across the street and both serve food as good as it can get. NO website, but they put all the energy into the food. You can't miss here.

Loved it. Doesn't look like a restaurant from the outside but honestly the food and service were fantastic. The only negative is that the room lacks a little atmosphere - all forgiven for the food and service. Friendly, knowledgeable and just unexpected.

Obelisk gets one of my coveted "Best Evers" because it might be the best meal in DC. It's a fixed price meal and they just keep bringing you small plates of food until your main course, which you pick from a menu. You need to call right at 10am exactly a month before the night you want to go to ensure you can get a reservation.

if a quiet, prix fixe dinner in a cosy townhouse is your idea of a sterling evening out, this is the place for you. beautiful dishes (they may or may not suit you the night they are offered) make for an outstanding dining experience when the time is right.
