I'm usually pretty chill about food and don't write negative reviews even if a place wasn't that great. But I want to attempt to do people a favor and warn them to consider going elsewhere if they actually want a decent restaurant experience. You'll get no service whatsoever, outside of getting your food (after waiting for at least half an hour on a non-crowded day). A simple "the forks and drinks are over there" comment might've been nice. I ordered the lamb tikka masala off the menu, and got the chicken version instead. Even with that, all that I basically got was rice & sauce. Which might be OK, except ~$8 is pretty pricey for rice & sauce.

these folks have come a long way from their small establishment in the tenderloin to multiple locations in sf and berkeley. no-nonsense indian/pakistani food delivered in a no-frills atmosphere. here it's about the food. good, inexpensive (though the prices have creeped up over the years). top-notch naan bread is a must. if you crave great indian, naan 'n curry will get you wher eyou need to go.

A mediocre all-you-can-eat buffet and unlimited chai for under $10 used to draw me in as a student, but the quality has gone down and my standards have gone up. The service consists of pointing towards the plates, utensils, and water. If you're not just going for quantity, the nearby House of Curry offers better food at similarly low prices.

we were lucky to find a parking space on college avenue, especially because it was a rainy day. the food is nice, but the restaurant made me feel like i was in a marketplace, very authentic.

Naan 'N Curry and I had a love-hate relationship. I think I went there often enough to warrant the management knowing me, but they went out of their way to not acknowledge my repeated patronage. :( :( Anyway, I only went here if I haven't had home cooking for a couple of weeks and need a spice fix. Their Tikka Masala curries are the best, either Paneer or Mixed Veggie. Combined with a plain naan and some rice, it's enough food to last a couple of meals. They've cleaned up the place in the past couple of years, and it looks a lot better than it used to. Maybe I'll be adventurous enough to try something new off their menu one of these days.

very cheap, some things are ok, some are not. dhal is excellent, chx tikka masala is the worst. but it's cheap, fast, and probably won't make you sick. college students, the working poor, and the homeless unite!
