Traditional Italian cooking is really about simplicity at its core. It's about having the freshest, liveliest ingredients, and bringing the flavor out of them through masterful technique. It's what we've been doing for decades at Mrs. Robino’s Restaurant, and it's our dedication to traditional recipes that seems to keep generations of customers coming back.

Took my grandchildren here for lunch. It was so much fun. I would have spent much more at a fast food place. They get to use table manners, learn to put napkins in their lap etc. The waitress could not have been better. It has been two weeks and they want to go again.
Response from the owner - 3 weeks ago
Sharon, we're so happy to hear you and your kids really loved the meal! If it's been two weeks it sounds like you're due for another visit soon. Hope to see you then! -Mrs. Robino's

My experience found burnt tomato sauce with acidic, salty, and metallic flavor. This is old-school italian food which doesn't compete with newer and more contemporary dining. Depressing dining atmosphere remeniscent of 1970's.

Antonio, we're sorry to hear that our flair for traditional cuisine didn't really suit you, but we do believe there's something to be said about classic recipes and preparation. We wouldn't have been a mainstay in Wilmington for 75 years (and counting) without doing something right! Here's hoping you can come back to see us and really find something you'll love -- we're confident that would be the case. -Mrs. Robino's

Below average Italian food, I would rather go to a chain restaurant.
Response from the owner - 2 months ago
Emily, we're disappointed to read this to say the least. We get a lot of great feedback from the community, so we're genuinely wondering where we may have gone wrong here for you. Here's hoping you may come back in the future and give us another shot -- we're confident we could impress you much better. -Mrs. Robino's

They have the best Italian food around. The price of meals has gone up over the past year, but they are still reasonable. The staff are the best.

We can't tell you how much we appreciate this review! It doesn't get much better than "the best" -- thank you for being part of the family here. -Mrs. Robino's

We dined at Mrs. Robino’s last night for the first time. It was simply amazing! I wanted something that wasn’t on the menu and they whipped it up for me: chicken pesto with gnocchi! We loved the server- who was attentive, and pleasant. We will be back!

while its fine, not my first choice for italian. meals too pasty. seems they think a larger portion makes up for lack of texture. after all these years u would think they could update decor too. still crammped-even on a slow night.
