Want feedback from an editor and literary agent?

Meet the Editor (that's me) and the Agent (Alex Adsett) at Byron Bay.

This is a rare opportunity for a dual face-to-face consultation with two industry professionals – literary agent Alex Adsett and editor Shel Sweeney. Together, Shel can provide editorial advice on your manuscript, and Alex can provide publishing strategies and market insights.

Bookings at the Byron Writers Festival website.

Memory, perception and imagination are easily confused. Over time,
our memories change and evolve.
Remembering is an imaginative reconstructing of the past, offering us
opportunities to honour, learn and adapt from our experiences.
'Storying' memory moves us towards restoratively retelling our lives
in ways that are expansive.
Jacqueline McInnes (5 Rhythms teacher extraordinaire) and I (writer/editor/mentor) are running a day-long workshop: Gathering Our Selves.
Through a process of writing and movement, we will explore our
memories, rewrite our stories and gather our selves.

Since deciding to hike the Camino de Santiago (an almost 800km hike across the top of Spain), I have been a variety of training hikes – large and small, flat and hilly, easy and difficult. I have discovered a real joy for hiking and being in nature, and uncovered a motivation, persistence and strength I never knew I had.
