Vision PT, Pyrmont has changed my outlook on health and wellness from a burden and necessity to something I really enjoy, which I didn’t think was possible the day I walked in. To sum it up, Vision works by providing education, inspiration and support, from there it’s up to you but it’s a foundation that you won’t get many other places. Education is the biggest thing at the start as it’s the key to understanding what you need to do, how and why; whether it’s the macro-nutrients of the foods you’re consuming versus what you need or learning the correct way to do a push up. Inspiration makes the process easier, the recipes on site help to make food more interesting and the personable culture at the studio means that trainers and other members are constantly sharing tips and success stories. Support means that it’s not your sole responsibility and this makes it more achievable; whether it’s the cold morning that you’re not feeling the weights session or the Wednesday evening that you’d rather go home than boxing class– knowing that you’re accountable to your trainer or that you want to see the other clients (now friends) at group training makes it so much easier. Whilst Vision’s holistic approach to food and exercise makes sense, it’s the support and ongoing mentoring that makes the regime achievable and your trainer is key to this.My trainer, Scott has built up my trust and an appetite to achieve more by challenging me but knowing how far he can push it. He changes things up so I never get bored and I’m constantly impressed by his professionalism and knowledge of exercise, food, stretching and recovery. He can even tell when a muscle is going to tire before I can and always offers a solution on how I can address it. The positive attitude that he (and the other trainers) exudes is infectious, which has gradually forced me to give up on my negative energy towards exercise and just enjoy it. I’ve tried lots of other diet and fitness regimes in the past and whilst they worked to varying degrees, they didn’t last . The ultimate testament for me is that my mind frame has changed from focusing on weight-loss to caring about improving my overall fitness and well-being. I couldn’t recommend Vision PT Pyrmont, or Scott more.
