Megan hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.

Morning anchor for 16 WAPT News covering Jackson and central Mississippi.

Megan West has held many jobs since coming to WAPT from our Hearst Washington D.C. Bureau in 2006. She has been a producer, reporter, and anchored our weekend broadcasts, but she says anchoring the morning newscast is her favorite role yet.

Megan's story on marriage records in Mississippi helped the station earn first place from the Mississippi Associated Press for our "Who's Accountable" series. Megan also works hard getting answers about road problems in our Pothole Patrol segment and enjoys keeping up with all things pop culture.

Megan is a member of the Junior League of Jackson, the organizing committee for the Hinds County Distinguished Young Woman program, and serves on the Board of Directors of Mississippi Opera. She enjoys volunteering with the Mississippi Children's Home Services Auxiliary and teaching senior high Sunday school at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral in Jackson.

Megan is a graduate of The George Washington University in Washington, D.C, but Mississippi is her home. She grew up in Laurel and still loves going home to visit friends and family.
