Would You Know?

If your god was with you now would you know? If Christ, Allah, Buddha or Mohamed was here watching you and humankind would you know? If they were walking the streets and seeing what was happening, shaking their heads in despair at what they see would you know?

As we propagate money, then purchase goods we desire but do not need to simply propagate more money and let the circle continue at the cost of our planet and those less fortunate, do you not think they would be more ashamed at what they had created than proud?

Would you know that vagrant, tramp, down and out, lost person that you pass in the street, head bowed, given up is not the god you have been looking for to rescue you, could be your redeemer that feels there is nothing left to redeem?

I'm not a religious man and I doubt I ever will be, I do though want people to think about what they see, the church is one of the richest businesses in the world, I often wonder how many homeless the Vatican alone would house, the splendour of the temples could be better spent on feeding the starving.

Would you know?

Great picture.
A Sonic Boom

Is this what a sonic boom looks like? When an airplane travels at a speed faster than sound, density waves of sound emitted by the plane cannot precede the plane, and so accumulate in a cone behind the plane. When this shock wave passes, a listener hears all at once the sound emitted over a longer period: a sonic boom. As a plane accelerates to just break the sound barrier, however, an unusual cloud might form. The origin of this cloud is still debated. A leading theory is that a drop in air pressure at the plane described by the Prandtl-Glauert Singularity occurs so that moist air condenses there to form water droplets. This, an F/A-18 Hornet was photographed just as it broke the sound barrier. Large meteors and the space shuttle frequently produce audible sonic booms before they are slowed below sound speed by the Earth's atmosphere.
