We're a little over a week away from our Executive Economic Summit taking place in Chicago!

On May 9, we will host part four of the Executive Economic Summit which will feature: Founder and CEO of Black Tech Mecca, Inc., Fabian Elliott; Joan and Weill Dean of Public Policy at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, Susan Collins, Ph.D.; Educator and Author, Haki Madhubuti; Executive Director of IMentor Chicago, Halleemah Nash.

Today's #InternSpotlight features Laurentiis M. Gaines!

Laurentiis M. Gaines, Jr. is a native of Augusta, Georiga. He graduated from Albany State University with a degree in Political Science and minor in Spanish. He served as the Vice President of External Affairs for SGA under the D.O.P.E. Administration in 2014. He is a spring 2014 initiate of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Delta Delta Chapter where he served as the Chapter President. He is also a 2015 initiate into the Chi Delta Cast of Alpha Psi Omega, National Theater Honor Society where he served as Dean of Pledges. Laurentiis served as the President of the Student Government Association for the 2015-2016 academic year. Mr. Gaines is serving in the office of Congressman Bishop.

Today's #InternSpotlight features Benjamin Baker!

Benjamin Baker is a proud native of Sylacauga, Alabama, and a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. During his senior year, he served as Director of Governmental Relations with the Student Government Association and Vice President of College Democrats. This past fall, Ben served as an intern for The White House in the Office of Political Strategy and Outreach. Ben is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. Ben is serving in the office of Rep. Mike Capuano.

Today's #InternSpotlight features Justice Peoples!

Justice Peoples is a proud native of Chicago, Illinois and a recent graduate of the College of Wooster where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Studies. On campus, he served as the President of both the Men of Harambee and Word Up! Campus organizations. He also served on the Allen Scholarship Committee and the Senior Class Committee where they to raised $3.2 million in scholarship dollars for fellow classmates. This spring he will serving in the office of Congressman Bobby Rush.
