In this special FrightFest podcast Chris and Phil are joined by festival organiser Ian Rattray to discuss the latest film releases. Phil speaks to CvZ writer James Moran, goes head to head with the undead and gets stuck in an elevator whilst Chris is inspired by the Olympics, demands recurring royalties and finds out if he's as funny as he used to be. Later on she pisses in a handbag, that's a highlight!

Podcast #73 - James Moran interview plus [REC]3: Genesis, Outpost II: Black Sun, Cockneys vs Zombies, Kill Zombie! and Elevator.

Facebook, Twitter and Google+ are different. Each of these Social Networks - I call them that because that's what they are - produces their own signals. Each of these signals has value. However, not all signals are of value to a business or individual, it depends entirely on how well a business or individual is suited to the signals a network produces. Therefore any argument about the value of a network is pointless, and a waste of time. Time that could be better spend working out the answer to the real question.

Q: What is value?

Absolutely, you're adding great value to your network. You're stream is always full of quality content, and you're very actively engaged with your followers. However, you're producing high value signals that permeate far beyond Google+. That output is the reason Google put this service here - to extract value from the signals the users create. Nothing wrong with that, it's their job. In essence, my question relates to how much value a business or individual gets back. That depends on how you define value, and we're back to my question.

There is no answer because we're all looking to get different things out of the other end.

You've clearly found a network that fit, and your work is having a deserved impact.

Me... I'm just a geek, testing the signals, and watching Google develop their strategy. There's no value here...

I always liked Google Wave. There, I said it... The level of innovation was astounding. However, the marketing of the service was a joke. Anyway, that's old news. It's also old news that Google had given the code over to the Apache open source project. Out of that has arisen Rizzoma.

At first sight, it looks like Wave is finally being implemented as it should have been first time round. Nice :)
