What is the best way to deal with bright sun in photospheres?  This example is better than others, but still has a big ugly line in the sphere.  In others, landscape under the sun gets extremely dark and is very off-putting.

Well, the handling of differing light (i.e. the difference between the bright sun and the darker landscape) has been vastly improved in the 4.3 photosphere camera, but this will still be an issue.

As much as possible, I try to shoot either with the sun in plenty of space or with it obscured or shadowed by something like a tree. That helps a lot. Generally if the sky is very bright and the landscape darker (like at dusk or dawn) you'll see elements of this. You can correct to a degree in photoshop, if you're up for that...

Do you mean the "big ugly line" to be the one in the sky? I believe that's part of the Google+ projection more than anything else...it shouldn't be present in the sphere on your phone.

Last week was pretty cool, comparatively.  Two days after I took this pic it hit 123.

“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”

Super friendly, accommodating, and clean. What more could you ask for? (Well extending the breakfast until 10 would be nice)

Mandalay bay is always clean, they keep the smell of smoke out better than many casinos, and parking is always available close to the escalators or elevators.

For reasons beyond this review, we had to find a new place to stay at 2 am. The whole town was completely booked. After calling over two dozen places, of which none had rooms, we called motel 6. They had not one but two rooms available right next to each other (which was how many we needed). They were fairly expensive at almost $200 per room, but that's probably the only reason they had two left. That's fine. Check out is late, noon, which is even better. They said there were no rooms available for the next day, and they can't let us know or hold them if someone cancels. Call the next morning to see if we can stay the night and they let us know there are still no time available. Then the front desk calls back and said that she say what room we called from and that there were two rooms and she held them for us. The lady at night must have passed the message on. The next day we went to the office to let them know about some extenuating circumstances we had and they were very very accommodating, much more than they needed to be or would be expected. We will absolutely stay here again, thanks motel 6 for saving our weekend.
