We had a tremendous summer at Kenwal! We sent our 2 elementary age campers there for the 1st time this past summer and they raved about Kenwal...Thank you for 3 things that make a mom and dad truly happy: 1. Our children were safe 2. Our children were happy 3. lastly, they always needed a nap at the end of the day! Can't wait for 2015:) Melanie Thomson

Let me tell you about how comfortable and smooth our transition was into what the world of what day camp is all about! My family and I were new to the whole day camp experience. Not only were we hesitant to see our little girls leave for a portion of the summer... a few hours every day seemed like an eternity...But we were unsure of how they would adjust to a new place with new people. The staff was so welcoming and warm hearted. From the very first time we visited on a tour..... straight through the entire 8 weeks! What a relief my husband and I felt seeing how happy they were. The directors went above and beyond to put our mind at ease. The best part was we could "pop in" and visit whenever we wanted to come by and see the girls. Way to go Kenwal! We are campers for life:)

Simply the best camp around....they have all the "stuff"...but their emphasis is always on the kids! Mature staff, activities that make sense, small groups, beautiful grounds and owners and staff that really care. They are constantly updating their facility as well as their programs, to keep it fresh. Guaranteed your children will have a great summer!!

We simply cannot say enough great things about Kenwal Day Camp. Our family has been part of the Kenwal family for the past 8 years. It is truly one of the best day camp experiences around. Each year more and more is added to make the experience that much better. The kids wait all year for camp because it is truly the highlight of their year. They must be doing something right over there because the kids cannot wait to return each year. It is run by a spectacular family and a superb staff. Truly a gem and one of the best that Long Island has to offer. If your kids have not yet had the Kenwal experience, they deserve to try it. They will not regret it.

As a college Junior, I have a little bit more free time in my schedule, and as I sit here and reflect on the summer of 2013and surf the web, I feel why not take the time to let people out there know what a great summer I had working at Kenwal Day Camp! If you are reading this review, you should know that Kenwal is the best place to spend 8 weeks of summer fun. I have been working there since my Freshman year of college and can't wait to go back each year. I am studying to be a teacher at Cortland. The quality time I spend teaching campers new things, playing sports, swimming and rock climbing are just a few of the things that make me feel like a kid again.... you can't beat that feeling. The directors go out of their way to make sure you too are having the best summer possible. They even have a "Staff Member of the Week" bonus. Simply, if you are doing your job, keeping the campers happy and safe, you are in the running for that bonus! I miss it in the winter, but I know I'll be back next year.

I just moved to long island and was looking for a camp for my 4yr old. I found a couple online, visited the ones in my price range and this was by far the best choice. It is a little expensive, but the camp ground and staff are amazing. They even called me twice his first day to give me updates and the group leader called at the end of his 1st week to let me know how he was doing. I would love to send him back next year.
