The staff is very nice and professional. The location is great most of the time. It's a little crazy during Summerfest. A little overpriced IMO, over 2k for 2 bedrooms. The work out room smells like cigarettes, so didn't use that much. They are real pet friendly building, but the charge you $300 flat up front fee, then $25/ month... then when you move out the try and make you pay for carpet cleaning, even though the lease doesn't really tell you that. Very walkable location except for groceries. Least favorite part, the toilets barely flush when you put 1 tissue in it. Also hated the person above me had there living space over my bedroom, clogging around on the floor while trying to sleep not real good, bad design.

Place is poorly managed. Found ways to make numerous additional charges on our apartment. It's cheaper for the third ward.. but you pay for it in other ways. The turnover rate in that place is insane because after one month of living there you realize how bad it is.

I had a very good experience at this apartment complex. Responsive management & timely maintenance. Relocated to Milwaukee & the office staff was helpful getting me situated and referring me to nightlife & restaurants in the area. After 2+ years, I was transferred out of Milwaukee; Jefferson Block was very accommodating to re-rent the apartment - quick & painless. Third Ward is one of the best neighborhoods in Milwaukee. Many restaurants, cafes, and theaters in walking distance, even in the dead of Winter there's activity.

I lived there for a year and was astonished that they can call it "luxury" now--low end appliances, cheap counter tops (complete with stains and burn marks from previous tenants), flimsy blinds--everything just seemed cheap. Most of the units look nice at first glance, and there is plenty of closet space. I just saw a printed ad where they touted the quality as "superb" with top notch soundproofing--so I felt compelled to write. Unlike most upscale apartments, you can hear almost everything (voices, TV noise, vacuuming, etc.) from the apartments next to you. And, if you're sitting down in your living room, you see the cheap particle board on the underside of the countertops--the faux granite doesn't extend to cover the underneath. Oh, and they never seem to air condition the hallways, which look so worn and shabby you can't believe it's "new construction." I did love the location and thought the people in the management office were, for the most part, friendly, but, for the price, you can get something sooo much better just a block or two away. I was flummoxed when they talked about their "award winning design"--I remember thinking at times that, from some views, it looked like public housing in Chicago or New York, and the courtyard is just another way to hear way too much about your neighbors and what they're doing.

This is a great building. My neighbors are friendly. The management goes above and beyond their obligations: signed for & delivered packages to my apartment if I can't pick them up, even jump-started my car. Maintenance is on-site & quick to respond, though, I've only had 1 request for work. I enjoy living in the 3rd Ward. It's a very walkable neighborhood & has so much to do with many restaurant/bar options close by.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! By far the worst place I have ever lived!!! Management is incompetent and will try anything to screw you over. The turnover rate in that place is insane because after one month of living there you realize how bad it is.
