This guy is an idiot. He knows nothing about science. Theobromine is perfectly safe in reasonable amounts. Like anything else, moderation is key. Epicatechin in cacao (unprocessed) is probably the most important discovery related to health in 50 years. Look up the countless studies and how the Kuna people of Panama have virtually no disease from consuming it.
I am not the one saying it. Dr, Norman Hollenberg of Harvard is saying it. Countless studies on pubmed say it. I agree that too much is not good but please research epicatechin studies. I believe you will be impressed. The only concern I see is heavy metals, which simply means pick a tested brand. As far as the Kuna, no they are not "free of modern mans ills". When they move to the mainland and ditch the flavanoid rich cacao, their disease skyrockets.
