I have a short story, Deadly Liberty, in an anthology with seven other authors of WWII fiction. Deadly Liberty introduces navy nurse Connie "Coco" Collins on the hospital ship USS Solace which was at Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941.

The first novel in this series will be out in December. But if you're a fan of historical-mystery fiction please check out some great writing in Pearl Harbor & More.

Some great mystery and thrillers to drool over at the low cost of 0.99. How's that for cheap therapy?

Oh, my mystery, BODY ACHES Book 2 in the Tex-A-Nurse cozy mystery series, is in the sale. Don't wait until tomorrow because the great deals will be history by then.

Disclaimer: This isn't medical advice.

I've been watching the Kindle Scout submissions and I've learned a few lessons. I decided to blog my nominations and why. If I get lucky and pick a winner, I promise to review the full book on my blog. And I will share it here.

Nurses Lives Matter: My blog post is about Nurse Nina Pham's story when she caught Ebola from her patient. She's suing her employer because among many things they violated her basic HIPAA health care privacy expectations. I could say I was shocked, but I'd be lying. Hospitals have been known to throw their nurses under the bus. When will they learn the value of their nurses?

In the run up to December 7th, I put my WWII novel The War Nurse on a book tour. Writing a guest post to appeal to many readers was important to me. As an author I depend on book blogs for reviews, and I know guest posts and interviews add variety to book bloggers' sites. A beautiful co-relationship if you will.

What Is That Book About is an interesting blog and after browsing around it I decided to write about those novels we all love. You know, the unexpected tear jerkers? I titled my post "Instant Tears."

Care to share your secret tear jerkers?

I've changed the cover of my WWII historical novel, The War Nurse. I had some feedback that the old one below didn't convey the historical period very well. Oh, The War Nurse will be on tour November 17 through December 5th with Historical Fiction book tours. Let me know what you think of my new cover!
