I did try this and while it does remove some it is no where near going to work to remove it completely without resorting to a light abrasive to remove the clear coat which is actually what looks bad. Once the clear coat is gone then it's easy to polish the part that needs it but just this only does not work.
Yeah if they've been hit with clearcoat (nearly all newer than 88 or os) the methods a bit different - I'll generally pull the engine and hit em with Aircraft paint stripper .. then tear em down and replace ALL the gaskets I messed up doing that... The method in this vid is for older bikes....before folks (dealers) discovered clearcoat as a way to hide flaws and make em look pretty before a sale
