Great place to visit for an introduction to the beers and cuisine of Germany! Hot soft pretzels, huge glass steins of beer at very reasonable prices, and a clean, Spartan decor (no Tirolean kitsch here) makes it a convivial place to stop for lunch too.

Weird place, went to sit outside but outside was packed and so loud we couldn't hear each other across the table. Other reviews are right bring like 6+ people to this place and wheel-barrows to take people home because between the beer and the food when you leave, your done-zo. I liked the spatial and the jager-snitzel, the fries were also awesome and the potato pancakes were BOMB. The frier seemed to be turned up a bit hot tho since everything except the fries seemed over-cooked. All in all I've never met a snitzel I didn't like so I will be back.

I like to here after shopping on ludlow and down at Pilgrim for vintage chanel on the lower east side. Great beer garden. the whole lower east side is really coming together in a good way. If only they could curb that triangle of hell on the weekends that is all bar flys from the bridge and tunnel sector.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon. It was loud and crowded, but they had two of my favorite German beers on draft, so that's awesome.

Nice beer garden, brought my wife and two little girls. Had to sit at the same table as other patrons, but they were nice. Didn't eat inside, but it looked very nice. Good was good, potato pancakes are really good. Plus and of course... THE BEER IS GREAT. German beer on tap, Schneider Weisse Original.

Super loud on a Friday night. The German friend I came with assured me that the food is pretty authentically German, but the atmosphere was just too noisy to be pleasant.

Loreley is a German Biergarten on the LES. In summertime it's nice to sit outside in their back garden. In the winter it's much too loud with booming music and screaming to be heard. The beer selection is varied and decent and the knowledgable servers are happy to help you find something to fit your tastes. We had a particularly sour experience at the end of the night and probably won't return, though on the whole it's a place worth checking out.

A great, authentic modern German vibe and fantastic beer make this a great spot to hang out with at night. Grab one of the tables on the back patio early as they fill up quickly in warm weather. Friendly staff brings drinks very quickly. Fantastic German beer selection beyond the typical HB and Franziskaner for all tastes. Try a small to see what you like, then move up to a full liter for the night. Very good German food and snacks as well.
