In this day and age, many people need an EBT card, also known as SNAP benefits, to put food on the table. Ditto for WIC benefits, which assist untold numbers of pregnant women, mothers, and children. But did you know that many local farmers' markets accept these benefits for fresh produce and other purchases? Today's blog features a story about one such market, in Morgantown, West Virginia.

If you've waited five years to read the sequel to "Sister of Silence," wait no more. It will be here Saturday, May 7. Just three more days!

If you will help me share this good news by clicking on one or more of the links (Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr) in my Thunderclap campaign (http://thndr.me/15emA6) I will thank you by name in my next book. That's how much I value, and need, your support. Thunderclap is a great tool to help indie authors like me, since I rely mainly on social media to spread the word about my books, but this campaign won't go live next Saturday unless 100 people sign up to help. As of now, we have 82 people, so we're almost there. Won't you please help? Your support is invaluable. Thank you!!!

Revving up for next week's book event at the Barnes and Noble in Wellington, Florida, on Friday, March 4. I will talk about how innocent people end up in prison, do a Q&A, and read from my newest book, GUILT BY MATRIMONY. This story parallels that of Stephen Avery, from the hit TV show "Making a Murderer."

I'm in south Florida promoting my books and soaking up some sunshine! Since West Virginia is shrouded with a grey blanket 90-percent of the time, I needed a healthy dose of Vitamin D. What better place than here, in the Sunshine State? Meanwhile, several authors have asked me, so here are some tips from my latest blog post. It's called "How to Make Your DIY Book Event a Wild Success."
