I understand more now what is going on - apparently there is now a button that enables notifications (or I never noticed it before). It's a little vexing that someone can push content at me like that with no established relationship...

Attempted my first G+ post in several months and managed to fail miserably. Let's try again. Marco?

To make this actually interesting, here's a photo from last Saturday, Joe Craven and David Lindley getting their Twisted on...

This Friday!

For tickets: http://www.twistedoak.com/lewis

Twisted Oak Winery is pleased to welcome Grammy-award winning bluegrass artist Laurie Lewis and Grammy-nominated artist Tom Rozum. Sharing the bill are regular visitors to the Motherlode - the Bee Eaters - with a mix of bluegrass, celtic, and jazz.

Advance tickets are only $20 and can be purchased at right here online. Gates open at 6:30PM. (Tickets at the door if available will be $25.) Admission is free for children under 12.

Anniversary BBQ! This concert also represents the 8th anniversary of the winery here in Vallecito. A special BBQ dinner will be served - advance sale price for the dinner and concert is just $28 per person. (You can buy dinner by itself for the kids for $8.)

Snacks, Delicious Twisted Oak Wines, & soft drinks will be available for purchase at the event*.

Seating is "festival style", first come first served - but all seats are good! Bring your own low back "beach" chairs and blankets - and bring the kids!

* Please do not bring other alcoholic beverages. Our license does not permit it.

Since forming a musical partnership in 1986, when Tom first joined Laurie’s acclaimed band, Grant Street, Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum have recorded 12 albums and performed around the globe. These Grammy-nominated artists (for their 1995 album The Oak and the Laurel) are widely regarded as among the leading lights of modern bluegrass.

The Bee Eaters trace their roots back to musical traditions as diverse as bluegrass, Celtic, jazz and old-time. While today’s new breed often produces an amalgamation of sounds and styles based on a distant view, the Bee Eaters were raised embedded in these traditions… raised to mold, meld, shape them and carry them forward, leaving their own indelible marks in the process. Brother-sister duo Tristan and Tashina Clarridge, long known and lauded by those steeped in the American fiddle tradition, are joined by hammer dulcimer wizard Simon Chrisman.
