Canada Day here in Montreal was very wet this year but still good fun. These are my favourite shots from the extensive amount I took.

My non-MoMA New York shots. Pretty much central park except for a picture taken from a moving car while on a bridge. I'm really not very good with this whole street photography thing.

Maybe this is my favourite butterfly picture from our recent trip to the botanics. It's definitely one of the three I shared (and represents the end of this year's collection).

Another shot from our recent trip to Butterflies Go Free. I think this is my favourite shot from our recent trip but I can be pretty fickle so I reserve the right to change my mind.

This is the dance performance we did Saturday night at Montreal Bagel and Blues. I'm pretty happy with it (as a note the intro has a false start and a bit of a wait around). The rest of the weekend was also awesome.

I'm not really very good at this whole street photography thing. Still I've got a few shots I liked and it was great to walk around the canal again after winter now that it is sort of kinda of spring here in Montreal. Also I'm not sure bike lanes count as streets.

I feel like it has been a while since I've uploaded a favourite photo. Since I've been riding my bike today it took me back to this shot I took after a picnic last summer.

While in New York a couple of weekends ago I took some shots while we were in MoMA. If you want to see the art there you'd be better served by Google Art Project (https://www.google.com/culturalinstitute/collection/moma-the-museum-of-modern-art?projectId=art-project). Here is my take from a few of things on show... and some shots of +Louisa Hadley ;).

Though it isn't mother's day in the UK today (where my mum lives) it is in Canada and also in the US where this photo was taken. My mum is such a thrill seeker, she still seems to be enjoying this despite managing (unknown to her at the time) breaking a rib on a previous ride. Happy (not) mother's day, mum :).

So Google+ has collections which is something I wanted (where people can chose to subscribe to a given aspect of your interests). It seems the permissions are always fixed so, for example, anything I post to my Photography collection is always public. I thought I'd celebrate by sharing one of my favourite photos I took a few years ago of a boy and a fish facing off.

By default if you were following me you'll follow any collection I make. However if I make a collection that doesn't interest you you can de-register from just those posts. I think it's pretty smart.

I feel like it has been a while since I've uploaded a photo here to my favourites. We went to Butterflies Go Free this weekend and I got a fair few shots I'm happy with. I found it weird using a full frame body as I'm still getting used to the uncropped perspective of that. Still I can always crop back in post ;).

A very limited set of photos taken from or walk to St. Joesph Oratory and also a photo of +genevieve Marmen because it was taken on the same day so counts, right?

It was our first time visiting the place in our many years in Montreal and the size of the architecture is nuts.

Friendly staff and a great savoury crêpe. Generally send to have a waiting time so be prepared for that.

Great atmosphere and friendly service in a nicely lit environment. They had great scones and some good coffee.

Really nice ambience and friendly staff. The starter was amazing which might have lead me to too high expectations for the main course (which was good but not mind blowing).
