Took some more shots of Disney Infinity characters. This time Spiderman and Venom. I was playing with using a flash to give the impression that Venom is emerging from the shadows and I'm really happy with the results. Thanks to +Louisa Hadley for being my lovely flash assistant.

A shot with one of my friends, Grace, taken a few weekends ago. It was me having a go with a noir style portrait. I think I'd like to do some more in that style.

I went to a fabulous wedding this weekend and was sorting through the photos yesterday when I decided to play with making this shot of the bride, Lola, a high key black and white. I'm really happy with the results.

Back to some butterfly shots. I've noticed at some point I switched on using picks in lightroom to stars and a bunch of my old photos never made that transition. I've created a smart collection and started going through my shots and this was one of them. Glad I've started that process now.

Another butterfly taken from 2012 Botanic Garden walk. I feel like I should have bumped up my ISO a bit so I could have shot a little shallower and try and get that front wing a little more in focus. It's a 2 years on learning experience ;).

Reading reviews of the newest game I've worked on. I'm really happy with how well it is being received. When we extended the project deadline there were points where I wanted us just to wrap it in a box and get it on a shelf but I'm glad to see those few extra months really paid off.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is a game of extraordinarily rare scope.

Google are offering some extra Google Drive space for people who check their security settings in drive. If you have a Google account you should probably secure it regardless of whether you use drive or not.

Christmas has given me an abundance of new Disney Infinity miniatures to take photos of. Yeay!

Went to the the Bioware Steampunk Christmas party last night. It was a lot of fun and some really awesome costumes. We also had a lady who had a skirt that was made out of drinks for, you know, refreshments.

After a long hiatus it's time to continue my butterfly photo series. I have a few more shots of butterflies that I like but I'm probably running out... I'll need to go shoot some more soon.

Since we have the first sticking snowfall here in Montreal I thought I'd share my favourite picture of snow, taken earlier this year when I went on a very early photowalk with a work colleague. This shot made the crazy early wake up time worthwhile for me :).

Some more butterfly action. This was taken when we went as a group to the Botanic Gardens in 2012. The am slightly saddened by the fact that I really don't stay in touch with many people in the group that we went with. Apparently I'm bad at keeping in contact with people.

Friendly staff and a great savoury crêpe. Generally send to have a waiting time so be prepared for that.

Great atmosphere and friendly service in a nicely lit environment. They had great scones and some good coffee.

Really nice ambience and friendly staff. The starter was amazing which might have lead me to too high expectations for the main course (which was good but not mind blowing).
