This client’s sentence was determined six weeks prior to his sentencing hearing by way of agreement with the district attorney. In this instance, it is improper for an attorney, during the sentencing hearing, to ask the judge to issue a sentence that is different from that agreement. This client was aware of the penalty he would receive when he decided to accept the plea offer that was made to him. Because of the attorney-client privilege, I will not talk about specifics. However, many criminal defense cases are more complex because of previous offenses and the severity of the current charges. I will always negotiate with the district attorney to minimize the penalties against my client in very bad situations.

First off, If you are a repetitive DUI offender, expect the worst. Expect jail time, and a long probation period. I had an incredibly high BAC, but after spending time in Work Release jail and learning about nearly everyone else cases, I can genuinely say that I did NOT get the best deal. DUI laws are black and white, but it’s up to the judge to determine whether you’ll get the max or not.

I’m not certain Kevin spent more than 5 hours on my case. There wasn’t even a profile created ahead of time. He didn’t have a profile created on sentencing day, and I think the judge took my own statement and was impressed with what I said. Also, If you want to meet before hand or get the information before the court date, Kevin will not do this, nor does he return phone calls. He’s overpriced. You can get better representation, more services offered for the same price.

If you are a repeat DUI offender, there are lawyers on the market that will offer support with the price they charge – including: Work Release paper work, DMV Hearings, etc. A great example of the lack of work put into my case was finding out that a 3rd DUI offender serves flat time. Kevin apologize for not letting me know, but it’s a big deal. I spent a month longer in jail than I had planned.

I met inmates with worse situations than mine own, who got better deals. Kevin did tell me in one conversation after expressing my frustration that “I have my own reputation to look out for as well.” This says everything. I don’t think he really took the time to come up with an argument as to why I may deserve less, including “in-home detention.” Which the judge can grant. This wasn’t even mentioned. When I was in jail, most fellow DUI inmates asked me “didn’t your lawyer provide you with this info?” “Your lawyer should have requested.” I learned more from inmates than this lawyer.

My sentencing date was a nightmare. Kevin didn’t have a profile prepared, or anything we discussed. He was dealing with personal issues, which I completely empathize with, but was not equipped to deal with my lawyers personal life, in addition to what was happening. If you are 2nd or 3rd DUI offender, shop for the best deal. Career criminals can get themselves better deals.
For the price, a person can get better services, and lawyers willing to go the extra mile in what they can request. Keep shopping!

I am an attorney in Denver that has worked along side Vernon. In my opinion, when you hire an attorney, it's important to remember that you are hiring a person, not just a legal technician. That said, Vernon's abilities as an attorney come from the fact that he is a good person who cares about others, and therefore cares about his client's lives - and understands the implications that their' cases have in their lives. I have personally witnessed his perserverance and dedication to his practice and his clients, and have seen him work tirelessly for results. If I ever need a family attorney, Vernon will be my first phone call.

I had a great experience buying my Honda here. The sales man "Des" was fun to work with, and very likable. The only criticism would be that every time I visit the service department, there are long delays to get into the garage, even if I have an appointment. It seems that the service department is over capacity all the time. I would definitely buy a car here though. However, since Honda has now discontinued the Crosstour, it looks like I will no longer be a Honda customer. I need a 6 cylinder, all-wheel-drive wagon. The Crosstour was perfect. Without it, Honda does not make a vehicle to meet my needs. Bummer. I am not sure why Honda doesn't even make an all-wheel-drive car anymore. Hard to understand why anyone living in Colorado would want a front-wheel drive only car. Again, bummer.

Mr. Anfuso is a superb attorney that not only understands the finer points of evidence law, but is also very crafty about how to organize facts and themes to win a jury trial. He is clearly invested in his client's cases and that makes all the difference. Rather than simply going through the motions, he puts a lot of energy into making sure his clients have the best possible opportunity to either win their case outright, or at least minimize the harm they face in the justice system. I would not hesitate to recommend him should the need arise.

Home Depot stands behind their deliveries. I ordered a generator online that showed up damaged. Home Depot agreed to replace the unit. I appreciate it.

Michael Dwan is a motivated and conscientious defense attorney that exerts a lot of effort to make sure his clients' cases are analyzed and developed to their full potential before they are resolved. He is knowledgable about the law, and has excellent people skills - a must for any defense attorney. I was very appreciative of the time he took to explain the nuances of New York law to me. He is easy to talk to, and clearly cared about giving me accurate advice. I will certainly recommend his services to my brother in New York State should the need arise. Thanks again Michael.

Mr. Shrager is a skilled defense lawyer who is well-versed in the law. I found him to be very insightful about how to organize facts and themes to produce winning results at trial. Clients will be well served, both because of his experience, but also because he cares enough about his clients to follow through with the subtle nuances of their case.
