Just received my first ever quadcopter, the Phantom Vision Plus. To say I was excited to give it a try would be a gross understatement. Unfortunately I didn't have much time between family duties, so my location was just a parking lot next to a school. Still, I figured I'd share what I got on my first two flights.

Apologies in advance for the back and forth and repetition, but that's what I was doing. Putting this bird through a few paces and seeing what it would do...and if I could figure out how to do it!

I watched Bill Nye the Science Guy on "Almost Live" in Seattle when I was a kid. My favorite part of the show. Enjoyed this short piece talking about how he came into show business and "changed the world."

This Is My Good Side

Broke out the camera for some pet portraits yesterday afternoon. The kids wanted some updated photos of their pets, and of course I'm always up for an excuse to break out the gear.

Utah County Photo Group in, well Utah County.. We meet monthly offering free lectures and workshops at our studio in Lindon, UT for the local photography community. Great group of people. Previously sponsored by Smugmug until they had to do away with the SMUGs. We'd love a copy to giveaway.

Cold Morning at Mt Timpanogos Temple - Pleasant Grove, Utah

Got up early for a snowy photo only to end up with clear skies, no fresh snow and building lights that turned off too early. This was the best of the bunch. I'll be back...

Obstructed Beauty - Pleasant Grove, UT

I seem to come back to this vantage point every year when we get suddenly cold but after an inversion has been cleared out by some snow. This plume is from the power plant near the lake, but is apparently more steam and not just a big polluting smoke.

Web design & marketing geek loves his family and photography
Introduction
My family, work and hobby pretty much define me.  What I call my professional hobby is photography, which is what I do with whatever free time I can create.  I enjoy the process of taking photos, the challenge of learning to be better at the craft, and the opportunities it has provided me to travel and meet new people.

Professionally I enjoy photographing people in all situations, but I found my start in concert photography.  I have had the opportunity to travel on tour and create two concert tour books.

Circles & Networking
Google+ has been a fun new expansion in the world of photographers and I've enjoyed meeting many new people. I admire your work and am inspired to continue to try and improve my own. I check out everyone that adds me, but I tend to only add back those that comment or otherwise interact with me. I'm here for the experience, not to just to see the flood of whatever you share.

We had the opportunity to use Chem Clean today and were very pleased with the results. Not only were they on time and courteous, but also thorough in their treatment. Along with a general clean, the technician identified several problem spots that needed some extra care, including some pet problem areas, and spent the time and effort to get them corrected. Those working wore booties to keep from adding any dirt to the floor and even left some for my family to use should they need to be on the carpet before fully dry. Thanks for the great service. EDIT (4 months later): I was asked via email my thoughts later after the initial clean if there was a residue or feeling soon after that I needed another cleaning. Here was my reply: "I'd definitely say they did great job and the clean has lasted. In this home I have used 3 different carpet cleaners in the last 9 years. There has been one that felt like residue and over use of chemicals left a lingering scent and residue in the carpet, and they were not brought back. ZeroRez was good, but a little pricey compared to some other options. Chem Clean offered great quality with no lingering scent or residue. I'm very happy with the long term results."

Though a bit of a drive, Millersports Park offers a top notch facility that brings great entertainment to our state. Absolutely love the off road competitions particularly, but everything they offer would require out of state travel were it not for there being here. Great tracks and very inviting for fans, even with cameras to be a part of the events.

We had the opportunity to enjoy the Valentin this last year on a couples retreat with several friends. What a gem this facility is, offering the perfect combination of location and relaxation. The beach was wonderful throughout the day, and later in the afternoon when the wind would pick up you can move to the pools that are shielded nicely by the generous windbreak of trees. As a no-kid resort and visiting a bit off season, we thoroughly enjoy the quiet resort with great amenities. Service was great overall, with plenty of attention whenever needed. Room service was a bit slow, but to be expected on a large campus. Food in the restaurants was always good, but never really knock-your-socks-off great. We actually enjoyed the breakfast and midday buffet better than any of the themed restaurants. I'd recommend the destination to anyone, especially if you get a great deal for an off season package.

Great combination of selection, quality and price. Osmond Designs takes care to keep current designs and options in stock with a style that is sure to appeal. Even when we've had to order products in from a catalog, they have arrived in a timely manner. With one particular piece, it arrived slightly damaged. The Osmond staff offered to replace or repair, and with the repair choice they came out promptly and took care of the issue to our complete satisfaction. Thanks for offering a locally owned and operated business that we enjoy shopping.

I should have come here first to read the negative review about the lies and lack of follow through after buying a car. I recently purchased a salvaged BMW from these guys while in another state. Their ad claimed the car was repaired with "all OEM parts." When the car was received, parts were hanging loose, several still cracked or broken and the hood was not OEM at all (and could not be opened). Several sensors are not working correctly and the fan runs near continuously likely due to those sensors. All attempts to try and contact Cars 4 Less are now ignored after I called them out for the false advertising. I will be having to put more money into this car to get it running correct and so parts will not fall off the car and even get the hood to open. Stay clear if you want an honest dealer. This one will apparently tell you anything to make the sale.
