Jealous! Several blisters and numurous talon-like- thorn entanglements this Fall...but, ZERO lion's mane! Its been rainy and 40's-60's here in SW Missouri this last week! So, I'm off for another trek! Maybe Enoki, oysters, sheepshead, or chickens today!! But, please, Keeper of the Woods, help me avoid thorny booby traps in my path so I can gawk around for mushrooms!
By Jill Henderson - Show Me Oz - It’s been a busy year here on Turtle Ridge.  And just when we thought all our sowing and harvesting were done, fall arrived with its bounty of wild food just beggin...

This moment will never pass again, so I'm learning to enjoy each one.
Introduction
Been a Nurse for 18 years in "mainstream" medicine.  Decided I wanted to do more when nursing shifted from patient centered care to paperwork and reimbursement centered care, whole other story!

I'm pursuing several interests now, trying to learn and grow as I go...maybe teach what I already know and getting myself and the Earth a little healthier along the way. I'm working on making what I love also what I do from now on!  Life's is too short to drag around unhappily.

I love all things outdoors (except the cold), cultural studies, medicinal botany, books, art, and I getting used to this online stuff.

I know I hate computer programming languages, math, and machines, I've always had mental constipation in those areas. I have no desire to learn about them save getting through college algebra or HTML for blogs, etc. I hate the cold too...I said that already!

I LOVE to be barefooted even in the snow, when I can get away with it!  I REALLY think humanity would have been better off staying barefoot!  When I'm not busy blabbing and giving my unsolicited opinions to others...I'm tasting random weeds in my back yard, trying to get others to "just try it"!

Write for a couple local blogs, but have NO clue what I'm doing...It's ok, we all start somewhere!
