Can't go wrong with Delfina. If you get there early around 5, you'll get a spot. Otherwise, try to get there as early as you can and expect a wait because this place is so good. Highly recommend this place.

The restaurant is nice, but tables are very close to each other. The food is very good but a bit pricey. Worth trying it though, it's a classic!

Craig and Anne Stoll's "local favorite" in the Mission is "still the best place in town" for "sublime" pasta and other "simple" Northern Italian "slow food" say followers, who also praise the "great bread from Tartine" and “warm, inviting” staff plus “expertly paired”, "incredible wines" that elevate the meal to "blissful levels"; on the down side, parking and reservations remain "difficult", but walk-ins can try dining in the bustling bar area or next door at its sister pizzeria offering “delicious” pies. Head next door to Pizzeria Delfina.

The closest thing to Northern Italian food in the Mission district of the city, this place is not to be missed. They have been serving wonderful meals for a couple of decades and continue to be popular because they do it right. Excellent service, exceptional food done in a creative manner and presented beautifully, the only down side is the parking. A bit pricey but worth every penny.

This place was awesome. We went for a special occasion but we'd gladly make up a reason to go again. Everything was really fresh and tasted great.

finally made it to delfina to see how this fine restaurant establishment has been in the city for more than a decade and half. now let's move on to the food: appetizers: we got the polenta and mash to share. skip the mash and go with the polenta. they're both mashed up veggies but polenta's cheese was just so spot on. spread it on the comp tartine bread? money. pastas: i had the spaghetti and an octopus sliced pasta. i had trouble deciding which one to go with and they're able to make 1/2 orders! best of both worlds. i was able to have my mini pasta tasting and it was grand. dessert: holy moly panna cotta. i am officially convinced that the panna cotta is must try at delfina. everyone's right, it's that good. i had a glass of cherry dessert wine to go with it and it tasted like a million bux. the service was fantastic. molly(?) was extremely sweet and attentive. we couldn't decide on which dessert wine to go with and she brought some for us to try. LOVE. will definitely be back! p.s. $25 corkage fee/bottle of wine. i say, bring your own wine!

Great pizza. I only come for the pizza (as a disclaimer). I always order to go (and pick it up myself) because the wait is killer. I love the pizza, and if you order to go, it takes about 10-15 minutes to wait. So that's a great amount of time to get a drink at the restaurant next door to Delfina Pizza. I also get the margherita (which is fabulous) and their meatballs. The meatballs come 3 in an order so it's good when you go with friends/family. Their pizzas run a bit small so just be wary of that.

I had the pasta special, which was absolutely delicious. The pasta is fresh and the sauce so well done. I went here with family, but this would be a great place to take a date as well. The staff was gracious even though our third party was an hour late and the restaurant was busy.

While often misunderstood, orange wine is simply white wine that’s been fermented and kept in contact with the skins. The result is a more robust white wine with an orange hue. The tannins from the skin impart a whole other spectrum of aromas and flavors.

Loosen your inhibitions, and allow our wine flight to show you the orange side…
