New Additions 4-25-18
Here are two new cars I shot in a west bound train, long refer #168 and a 6500 series flat car #6521. I learned that painting long refrigerator cars is a big pain in the neck; black on the under frame, refer yellow on the sides and freight car red on the ro...

5900 Series Stock Cars
Here are two 5900 Series stock cars that I built for Jack Vansworth of Division Point. Jack has made the move back to modeling in Sn3...good choice.  He asked me to build a few cars for him, so I've been busy expanding his fleet. These cars are always fun t...

Ready for the Yard
Since I still have kids living at home, my plan is to wait on filling in the middle of the basement with the layout. Currently it goes around the room and there is a large table for puzzles and a ping pong table instead of Durango and Monero. In the meantim...

Another Idler Flat
I'm on a roll! Here is another idler flat that I finished putting the decals on tonight, #6709. Tomorrow I'll weather the deck a bit more, then I'll spray on a little dust and some flat finish.

Here is what I finished over the weekend, two pipe gons and an idler flat. Now I only need about 20 more of each.

Flat #6542
I have to admit, I had fun building this flat car. The photo doesn't do the decking justice, it looks much darker in person. One of the big reasons I like Sn3 is the fact that there are so many kits available, plus you can still have an operating layout.

Layout Update 12-26-17
Just thought I'd show a few photos of the layout in it's current form. The new peninsula and helix are finished. Gato is on the upper level and Ignacio is on the lower. I haven't finished laying track in either location but I do have trains running on the m...

#1336 Pipe Gondola
Here is another built up and painted car that I bought from Randy Smith. I had some fun beating up this car with both a wire bruss and an Exacto knife once the decals were on. In hindsight I should have completely weathered the car before I added the decals...
