The pacemaker records your heartbeat and transmits that information to your physician. It also reacts when it identifies an abnormal heartbeat.
If you have a heart arrhythmia, a pacemaker is one treatment option cardiologists may suggest.

My impression of a Specialist (DR) Well first off you need a referral to see a specialist Okay what next You go to the specialist office and you have to pay your co-payment and if you do not have it don’t come back until you do have it. Now that I have your co-payment and the fee I will be charging you insurance, I can see you. So okay in my instant I was told I needed to have a TEE test and you (me) will need to go to the hospital as an outpatient, “The hospital will call you with instructions and what your co pay will be” Again with the co pay will in my case $100.00 if you do not have it we will re schedule you or we will be happy to make arrangements for payments, okay so let me have my test. So I pay my co-pay to the Doctor and my co pay to the hospital and have the test done. Next day I get a call for the Doctors office telling me I need to make an appointment with the office so the doctor can tell you what is wrong and give me another referral. So now again I have to pay the Dr. to find out what he was paid to do in the first place. again. Does this look like blackmail I will tell you my findings but in order to get those findings you need to pay me again another copy.

I've never been to a more efficient, caring office. Excellent care. Definitely the best cardiology practice I've been to.
