Time out for these kids, I think after a rest they'll get along nicely. ;) Grass-fed sirloin seasoned with salt, seared in a hot-a$$ pan, removed rare to rest then tossed in mushrooms until they released their juices and then started getting nice and brown. Toss in thin asparagus and chopped garlic, turn the heat to low and let the asparagus/garlic get perfectly cooked. Nestle the steak back in and remove the pan from the heat, sit back and let everything mingle for about 10 min. Fresh cracked pepper over the top, by now the steak is a perfect juicy med/med-rare. Serve it up, juices- those amazing juices- poured over the top. Salad on the side (crispy pan-roasted red potato wedges if you want to be "bad") and enjoy! #indulge #realfood #buenprovecho #CKH #beef @wabeeflove

Better than 98% of the crab cakes I've had in my life...and these are made with $7.00 per pound wild cod instead! Spiked up with a spicy little remoulade. In a perfect world I'd enjoy these every. Single. Day. They are so delicious and addictive! Don't get me wrong there is NOTHING wrong with crab but it's either a lot of work to get OR upwards of $25/$30 per pound picked. These start with my #healthified #glutenfree PHENOMENAL crab cakes (you can find the recipe on my website) and swap in some gently poached fish of your choice instead of the crab. These are requested by my clients again and again in different variations (crab, shrimp, fish, even high quality canned albacore tuna) and I finally got to make them at home for dinner (and lunch today). Husband was hankering for the tequila-spiked ceviche I made last month down in Sonoma so this craZY tasty dinner was so on tonight! I serve mine up over pineapple-spiked guacamole for extra goodness. These cool red tortilla chips were so good, organic and colored with beets. Rounding out the meal was my Mexican-style corn-off-the-cob. One of my prized possessions, the gift I got from @mosesbread72 @gscruggs and @bmebane92 after Greg, Michael and I were the winning cook-off team a couple of months ago! Need a simple yet stunning side dish for anything you've got going on the grill? Make a summer succotash and bring a pop of color/#flava and definitely bring life to your table! Sauté diced carrots, corn, green beans, red onion and whatever else you'd like (bell pepper, zucchini, garlic) until just al dente. Season up with salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and finish with #fresh herbs. #buenprovecho! #bringlifetothetable #nourish #realfood #CKH

Up your chicken game. These Swiss chicken rolls will become a fave in your house, my clients request them often!

✔️ Flatten out chicken breast, season with a little salt, pepper, onion granules and garlic powder.
✔️Mix equal parts Dijon mustard and honey, spread over chicken.
✔️Place a thin slice (or shredded) Swiss cheese and a thin slice of nitrate-free smoked ham in the center of the breast.
✔️Roll up and secure with a toothpick.
✔️Sear on medium-high heat on all sides until golden brown, lower the heat to low and finish cooking. (If you need to use a meat thermometer and take off when the center reaches 165 degrees.) Let rest for 10 minutes. Slice and serve it up!
✔️Bonus #1: There will likely be some amazing pan juices left that you definitely need to drizzle over the top or sop up with some potato/bread/or just slurp it down.
✔️Bonus #2: make extra because the next day you can slice it super thin and layer on a sandwich with a little sliced pickle and toast it up for a super easy Cubano-inspired sandwich/panini.

I had a lovely time at Campbell's Resort this past weekend. The room was nicely updated, clean and attractive. The pool and beach front was so fun to enjoy as well! We loved the food at the Pub as well as the bistro, hoping to have an experience at the spa next time! I held back one star simply because I felt the service (at the hotel only, the restaurants were wonderful) wasn't 100% for such a place. There were some a few minor issues and usually at places like this the impeccable service is what sets them apart and drives you back to spend the money at such a resort. Minor issues are no big deal, mistakes happen but when they do the guest should not be made to feel as if it is a hassle for the resort to fix the problem they caused. That was my only drawback but other than that a lovely place we will definitely return to simply for the location, amenities and great family time.

I popped in here for a quick bite in between appointments and I am so glad I did! I got there in time for Happy Hour and had an amazing bowl of chicken coconut soup for only $5. The other happy hour offerings looked wonderful too. I also ordered the Silver Spoon special salad with shrimp. WOW it was LOADED with shrimp and had an amazing flavor! I do wish the greens were romaine instead of iceberg, but it was still fabulous. So fresh, crisp and vibrant. The atmosphere was wonderful and the best thing was the service. You are greeted with a smile, served quickly and efficiently, there is nice music on in the background and treated well the entire time. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!
