The perfect neighborhood supermarket. A well curated Whole Foods that is way less crowded. They have really interesting drinks and mixers too, and their selection of branded snacks (esp nuts) is awesome. Flowers for sale near the register too.

3.5 stars. 4 Stars for freshness and quality. 3 Stars for Price 4 Stars for helpfulness of the Staff There seems to be always samples to try like cheese, crackers, chips, pickles and olives. Every time I try something there I buy it...but thats it! Everything else is expensive. In terms of snacks and small bites, this is a pretty good place to check out. But prices can be high and may possibly make a hole in your pocket. This store represents why New York City is so expensive. But quality and freshness is all here. They try to fill in the neighborhood void of markets, which is now full of restaurants and bars, with simple necessities new yorkers need...but at a high price.

Union Market has lots of store brands, the store plays jazz, quite a few sampling stations, and everything just screams gentrification. Prices are what you'd expect.
