Sideloaded and upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat on my Nexus 5X. The subtle refinements are welcomed. Runs smoother too! God I love the Android OS.

Batter life still sucks. Let's hope that the next iteration of the Nexus line nails this.

I need a faster phone with lasting battery so I can catch all those pokémons!

One of the best reads as of late.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

"But at the time people don’t realise they’re embarking on a route that will lead to a destruction period. They think they’re right, they’re cheered on by jeering angry mobs, their critics are mocked. This cycle, the one we saw for example from the Treaty of Versaille, to the rise of Hitler, to the Second World War, appears to be happening again. But as with before, most people cannot see it because:

1. They are only looking at the present, not the past or future

2. They are only looking immediately around them, not at how events connect globally

3. Most people don’t read, think, challenge, or hear opposing views"

Ridiculous. Just ridiculous. After a full year of selling a non-compliant Type-C phone, +OnePlus follows up with their OnePlus3 that ALSO doesn't support USB host in the correct way according to the Type-C spec. The OnePlus 2 shipped with a noncompliant cable, and their "otg" mode was noncompliant such that official C device adapters would not work, and so is the OnePlus 3, apparently.

They simply haven't learned how to build a phone properly.

Thanks +GTrusted for the scoop.

Folks, avoid OnePlus's phones if you want a phone that actually works with peripherals in the growing USB Type-C ecosystem like thumbdrives, for goodness sake.

"The plan depends on an incredibly thin, yard-wide sail that will be pushed by lasers. The chip is attached to the sail; the sail is hit by a carefully aimed laser to push it up to speed; two decades later, the chip and sail arrive at Alpha Centauri. Then the chip beams data back to Earth at the speed of light, giving scientists insight into another solar system just a quarter of a century after the mission was launched."

"I believe what makes us unique is transcending our limits. Gravity pins us to the ground, but I just flew to America. I lost my voice, but I can still speak, thanks to my voice synthesizer. How do we transcend these limits? With our minds — and our machines. --Stephen Hawking

It's not the first time we hear that robots would take our jobs (cue South Park They Took 'Er Jobs line). But this now feels inevitable rather than just some sci-fi tales.

With the problem of income inequality exacerbates, wide-scale adoption of AI and automation will significantly move up the poverty line and possibly sink the majority of us.

To think this could possibly happen in our life time is chilling.

Talk about the challenges of community driven projects...

BTW, ‪#‎Bitcoin‬ may go away (for all the reasons listed), but KEEP THE ‪#‎blockchain‬. Anything that requires a ledger or transaction history can benefit from it.
