Valet stole an expensive remote that was on my keychain and used to open the gate and elevators at my apartment building. I called several times, and they kept putting me on hold to try and get me to hang up. Spoke with the supervisor Andrea, as well as leaving a message for another supervisor. Was told that they would call me back multiple times, and no one ever called me back. $75 dollars out of pocket to replace the remote, and Hotel Icon doesn't care at all that their valet attendees are stealing from guests. Never going here again.

Our suite here was great. The service, with which we didn't interact too much, was up to par. We took an Uber to and from so nothing to complain about when it comes to parking. The bar staff downstairs even gave us extra glasses for the room without question. Great experience.

Rudest staff on the planet. Called the police on my husband because I went to bed upstairs accidentally carrying both of the key cards with me and they would not give him a key because they said "I might not want him up there." We checked in together, it made absolutely no sense. He tried calling me, but I had fallen asleep and did not answer. So understandably he was upset that they would not give him a key to the room and they called the police saying he was inebriated, when he absolutely was not. I will never stay here again. TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT!

Great hotel located in downtown Houston. I had never visited the city before, and booked here because they are affiliated with Marriott. The staff was extremely helpful as there was a snag with my credit card company upon check in. They let me check in early which was also nice. Aside from that, they offer a shuttle service to within 3 miles, and even called me a cab that was there waiting at 5am. The hotel was super nice with great atmosphere. The decor was different than any hotel I have stayed at, which was refreshing and super nice. Highly recommend as this was very affordable.

I am a sucker for anything that has a good history and Hotel ICON has more than I can tell. When we pulled up to the front of Hotel ICON I was so stoked we would be staying right there in downtown. There are tall buildings, restaurants, bars, even the homeless guys asking for cigarettes. It's all there!! Reminds me of home in Dallas! Love it! (Minus the CRAZY drivers!) Now as you walk through the Hotel ICON you begin to feel small. Everything looks so amazing. The decor is timeless, the lighting low, the space enormous. Our room was beautiful. We had the smallest size room I believe, so there was one double bed, a desk, chair, and dresser with LED TV in the room, and a beautiful bathroom with a huge walk in shower. There was plenty of room for my husband and I and our things. We didn't get in each others way, so that was a bonus! There were also 2 huge windows in our room on two separate walls so the very first thing I did was open those bad boys up! The bathroom had quite a lot of room and was stocked with a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There was a huge walk-in shower with about as much interior room as a small SUV...kid you not. The mattreee on the bed was extremely comfortable., much so that we are going to buy a new bed this week! In the morning there is a huge buffet downstairs. You can order in your room or go to the lobby to eat. There is a super clean fitness center as well as spa available. Parking at HotelICON is $32 for valet overnight. There is not other garage at the hotel, but plenty of parking lots around. We found one that was $8 Sun-Thurs and $10 Fri and Saturday for 10 or 12 hours. It was half a block from the hotel. The only thing about parking at the lots is you have no in-and-out privileges. Meaning if you leave, you will have to pay for parking again when you come back (unless you are lucky like me and nobody is in your spot yet!) Make sure once you get to the hotel, you plan on not driving anywhere else. Hotel ICON does provide a shuttle service in the 11 passenger Mercedes van FREE of charge within 3 miles of the hotel. You can find just about anything you need within 3 miles of that hotel, so you are good! Overall my husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel ICON. It was the perfect getaway for us and I want to thank the super friendly staff for their hospitality! Next time we visit Houston, we plan to stay at the iconic Hotel ICON.

For what they claim, the hotel is completely sub par. Horrible customer service, absolutely no attention to detail, and just an overall lack or professionalism that you would expect from a higher end hotel. I asked for an early check in, the room was not ready. I took the elevator down to the lobby and wanted to order from the restaurant. The host told me to go back up to my room and order because the menu selection was greater, failing to mention I would be charged a "delivery fee." What would you know, they totally screwed up my order after repeating it to them 4 times. I asked for a set of spoons to be brought up because I bought ice cream earlier in the day, I was charged for that as well. Finally at check out, I paid for my stay in cash, only to find when I came home, my credit card had been charged anyway. Glad I kept the receipt. Very, very lack luster performance. I will not stay here again, nor would I recommend it to anyone staying in the Houston area.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The room is so cute, very cute for couples. The bathroom has a shutter door that opens to the room from the bathtub. The shower is large and they have amenities already mounted in there. They have a cute duck that is a hotel specialty and you can take them home for a $1. There is a boy and girl cowboy/girl duck. The valet can be a bit of a nightmare to get into since it's after the hotel and goes down and can get crowded. Although the bed was comfortable the pillows were strangely small and there weren't other pillows.

Everything is nice about this hotel and it's close to the Harris County Justice Center and civil courts. It's an old bank converted to a hotel. Free limo provided for pickup and drop off at any place within 10 blocks of the hotel. Parking is expensive - $28 to $33 per day. Overall, you can sometimes find discounts on rooms posted on their website. I've stayed here more than 5 times. Quiet, comfortable beds, nice amenities, great shower. Can be romantic but there are better places.
