The workers have been without a contract since its agreement expired in August. Issues include healthcare, offshoring call center jobs, work rules and pensions.
Nearly 40,000 Verizon Communications Inc (VZ.N) workers walked off the job on Wednesday in one of the largest U.S. strikes in recent years after contract talks hit an impasse.

I respect any Marine, regardless of sex. These aren't suzy-homemakers and if they pass the same tests, awesome (fearsome?)

White cloth tables and varied menu. Check their website for list. Full meals include a fresh veggie tray, several small bowls of cottage cheese, macaroni salad, pickled beets, etc., soup, salad, entrée and dessert (ice cream, rice pudding, etc.). Service is leisurely slow. Prices are $20+ per person. Our last visit we were seated next to a very loud table in a small room, which detracted from the dinner.

My first "hot pot"-eating experience. It is essentially an all-you-can-eat for $18 per person. You're given a "menu" of items to choose for the hot pot. A large two-chamber pot is set in the center (over a hot spot) and you add the items you chose to the boiling broth. Two sides, so one can be mild, and the other spicy. If you can't manage chopsticks, ask for fork and sieve (to scoop the cooked food from the broth). They also validate your parking stub (which deducts $2 from the total fee).

We took our grandkids today. The food and service was great. The little ones really enjoyed the food train and playing with the toys.

Staff are knowledgeable and courteous. Prices are fair and explained before any work is done. Hours are convenient and work bays and waiting area clean and professional. A previous review advised Buyer Beware, but complained about a front gasket, then a head gasket (two different parts), neither having anything to do with a transmission. I would not fault the mechanic who pointed out the front (or head) gasket were leaking. I would be grateful...
