The next meeting of our Milwaukee based user group is (finally) on the calendar!
The Postgres community at large is buzzing with activity lately — with a new minor release of 9.4, news about upcoming features in 9.5, and the conference season is kicking into high gear.  There's plenty to talk about!

We are also happy to share that this meeting will be in Milwaukee!  (Many thanks to Corvisa for providing the space.)  Hopefully, this will make it more convenient for more of our members than our previous gatherings (in iStream's awesome space) in Brookfield.

If anyone has anything at all they would like to share at the meeting or suggestions to improve upon past meetings, please let us know!  Anything from a 5 minute talk with one or two slides to a full blown presentation is most welcome.  (And if you happen to be presenting at a conference, this would be a great opportunity for a practice run!)

Or perhaps you have a topic you'd just like to talk about with other members?  Bring it up in our pgMKE Google+ community to get the ball rolling.  We might have other members interesting in the same topic or that have their own experiences to share.

See you soon!

ICYMI — Milwaukee area Postgres User Group meeting tonight in Brookfield!  Topics to include Postgres on ZFS and new features in 9.4.
With the holidays behind us and 2015 already flying by, it's fair to say that we are long overdue for the next meeting of pgMKE!

Jeff has generously made the arrangements to allow us to get together again at iStream's offices in Brookfield next Tuesday.

A couple of suggestions for the agenda follow.  ( And you are encouraged to submit your own ideas in the comments below or to our G+ forum:
https://plus.google.com/communities/105822727598535419091 )

- We have access to a recording of the presentation Bruce Momjian recently gave for EDB on new features in the 9.4 release of community Postgres.

- Before the meeting is over, we will have hammered out the date and time for the next meeting ;)

See you soon!

This will be the second meeting of pgMKE.  (Our tentative schedule is the first Tuesday of every other month.)

While the location is yet to be determined, this will likely be a great meeting to attend, as it will have been only a few weeks since PostgresOpen in Chicago and there will likely be plenty to talk about!   (Milwaukee will be well represented at pgOpen this year, with +Jeff Amiel presenting and a few other members in attendance.)

Stay tuned for more details!

First meeting of Milwaukee's Postgres User Group, pgMKE!  Please join us!
