The reactions from 5:15 are priceless. I'm still buzzing from Sunday night, so glad I stayed up to watch.

Absolutely required reading. You are here for a purpose.

Want to feel like the Hero of your own epic myth?  My friend Ryan has a pretty fun system.  It might blow your mind.
Hi, I'm Ryan. I'm an addiction recovery counselor. I really care about people. I spend most of my time figuring out how to help troubled people rewire their minds. It's now safe to say that we as a so...

I really enjoyed this impromptu lecture by Jefferey Sachs, out of all of this chaos there is a palpable excitement in the air about reimagining the institutions that have brought us to this point in history. Umar Haique's blog is something I turn to often http://www.umairhaque.com
Stephen Downes originally shared:

Jeffrey Sachs, leading environmentalist and economist, and a respected Professor at Columbia University, speak out at the growing, inspiring Occupy Wall Street movement.

Also: Umair Haque writes: make the dangerous choice to dissent. "If you want to live a meaningfully better life, you're going to have to make the dangerous choice to dissent. A life lived meaningfully isn't denominated by digital friends, designer logos, or wads of paper notes. It's denominated by what you've lived, what it's worth to you, and what that's worth to humanity. That's the heart of eudaimonia, a new economic paradigm based on fulfilling human potential — not creating and marketing useless stuff." http://blogs.hbr.org/haque/2011/10/make_the_dangerous_choice_to_dissent.html

Story
Introduction
I'm working in student services for higher education, with a special emphasis on the first year experience for international students.

I'm a qualified language instructor and learning adviser. I empower students to take control of their learning through technology.

Right now, I'm contributing to Change: Education Learning and Technology. I'm looking for a way to tie up two postgraduate studies in eLearning and tertiary teaching with a Masters in Education by the middle of next year. Check on my progress in learning.

I'm committed to changing education, for the better.
My old blog Rainbowhill Language Lab is still a great place for learning about Japanese language and culture, it's just a little quiet these days.
