Mindfulness or Awareness is the key constituent of meditation. If you are mindful at your work, at your day to day activities, you are always peaceful and happy.

Mindfulness can be mastered through certain practices and techniques. In Zen philosophy that's called Zazen.

Zazen is a kind of meditation, through which you develop mindfulness. In Zazen you either sit in the half lotus posture or full lotus posture, you keep your spine straight, and your both hands remain in your lap. Left in the right hand, and you join both thumbs, not pressed but just touching each other. Shoulders relaxed, head in upright, and you focus your eyesight just in the front. Your eyes not fully opened nor fully closed.

If you can sit in this posture for 5 minutes, that will develop mindfulness, and you can feel utmost peace, energy and joy.
