Images from the recently-concluded World Communications Forum in Geneva. My fireside chat with Mercy Kolok of +UNICEF South Sudan - on 'Why the World Should Care About South Sudan (and other conflicts)' - generated a lot of soul-searching and great questions and comments.
In a separate session on communications and politics there was much worry expressed about the proliferation of fake news and attacks on the mainstream media. Legitimate concern about people not being able to distinguish between truth and fiction. #WCFGenevaWeek #Switzerland #politics #media

My observations on +CNN International #southsudan +UNICEF +Unicef Canada

Early birds in Australia - join me at 0635am (Sydney time) as I speak to Hamish MacDonald on RN Breakfast +ABC Australia on the deteriorating situation in South Sudan. I'll speak on the terrible impact on children, what aid agencies like +UNICEF are doing to help, and why the world should care. #SouthSudan
