Yum!! Went with a large group, no issue getting reservations. They sat is in the glassed in patio area (or whatever it was). We were loud, which was fine because kind of removed from the main restaurant. The waitress was the best I've ever had. She recommended we do tasting menu for the group which was cost effective AND filled us so that we couldn't eat or drink anymore. She knew exactly who the celebration was for - I didn't even need to tell her and when I went to she said it was already taken care of which blew my mind. I would come back here in a heartbeat and request the same waitress. Everything was top notch! Minus the fact they made us wait until the whole party was there to be seated...but you know how it goes!

It's a beautiful dining room, pretty good wine list, food is very good, don't get me wrong, but it is not nearly worth all of the hype. There is equally good food to be found at top notch restaurants across the country. Kind of ridiculous on price - with a bottle of wine, you can easy drop $500 dinner for two.

I wanted to enjoy Scarpetta more than I did. I looked forward to eating there for quite a while. A friend recommended it on my last trip to South Beach. I'll preface my review by saying that I was on the verge of a migraine when I visited, so perhaps it was a recipe for the following: My appetizer was more on the scale of an 'amuse bouche', which was fine after I told myself that "I can afford this"... and "it's fine dining after all'. The size and price aside, it was, of course, divine. What upset my stomach was (other than my pounding head) the fact that the waiter felt the need to keep coming to my table to re-arrange my silverware - by this I mean he would place my knife on the correct side of my plate, etc. I'm normally a very laid-back, easy going guy, but this really seemed like a pompous gesture. I finally gave up and didn't finish my meal out of aggravation and general lack of appetite. The food was, in all honestly, quite delicious; by all means a gourmet meal. The presentation, the flavor combinations, etc were perfect. The service was pretentious and rude. I would definitely consider going back and trying Scarpetta again. With a clear head and a different waiter I'm sure this restaurant would get 5 stars from me.

Best meal ever. Every course was perfection. Truly an amazing dining experience. Also the best Mojitos at their bar!

The butternut squash was delicious. There are a lot of dishes with seafood so if you aren't a fish, scallop, or octopus(!) fan you'll have fewer choices. Everything from the bread to the desert is delicious though. The portions are small-ish so get an appetizer if you are hungry. The staff is wonderful and professional and made a small town couple at a five star resort feel at home.
