After living in Minneapolis for 19 years, I can say that I never attended a single Holidazzle. 'Too cold', 'too commercial', choose your reason, but I never got into it. That being said, I understand that Christmas gravitates toward tradition, so I understand the vacancy.
Watching +msnbc tonight, makes me hate +Fox News _slightly_ less. Actually, someone should annihilate both. But +CNN shows Beatles movies. Funny how the guests on Fox and MSNBC are more moderate than the 'moderators'.
Not sure if Kluwe's right or not. But it's true ... he waited until the Vikings season was done, when he could've flamed them after being cut. And regarding his being cut -- I don't recall specific performance issues, other than he drew non-football attention to the organization.
"60 Minutes" was trashed all over Twitter on Sunday night for a two-part story on the NSA which critics dubbed obsequious at best. The piece was fronted by reporter John Miller, who had to tell viewers this at the top of the segment: "Full disclosure: I once worked in the office of the director of National Intelligence, where I saw firsthand how secretly the NSA operates."
