We visited the lodge for a wedding in December, and found every aspect of the stay excellent. The location is near enough the airport (10min) to be incredibly convenient, yet far enough from the highway to feel peaceful and removed. The rooms, especially the beds, were superb. Breakfast and dinner were fantastic and the service of Keith and the staff was flawless. These folks really did everything possible to make the stay perfect. Needless to say we had an incredible time and would love to return.

I was first at this restaurant 12 years ago and the food was phenomenal! My how things can change!! While the scenery is beautiful and the lodge is impressive, there is no air conditioning (wha?) and it's warm. Bread is hard & salty and tasted like stale pretzels and was served with a "bean spread" swimming in oil and I found it all unpleasant (see photo). We did not eat the bread. My wine was not good....like it had sat around too long and it had lots of sediment. My fish was covered in nuts with a sickening sweetness that ruined it's flavor, although it was cooked well. There was a sauce that was just a ridiculous mess. My rice had an unusual flavor I could not identify, but I didn't like it. All in all, it was pretentious, over-priced and not satisfying. From the hair on my tablecloth, to the spider on the wall, to the debris in my wine, I have seldom been less satisfied with a meal. I would NEVER go back and it will take a long time not to feel HORRIBLE about the exorbitant amount of money I spent to have this meal I could not eat. When asked if I wanted dessert, images ran through my head about how they could ruin chocolate cake or apple pie and I opted to wait the inordinately long period of time to get my check, get checked out and leave.

We have been to lodge for dinner twice this year and we will not go back. The Service was Slow to say the least and the staff manners would resemble a road side diner, so would the food for that matter. Nothing we ordered was prepared well. Very expensive to boot! oh and by the way they completely forgot we had requested a birthday dessert when we made our reservation Even after I reminded them they didn't bring it.
